![]() ![]() (b) Has been declared emancipated by a court of competent jurisdiction (a) Marries with the consent of the legal custodial parent or legal guardian pursuant to section 451.080 For purposes of this section, the term “emancipated minor” means a person who is at least sixteen years of age, but less than eighteen years of age, who: (4) Have a parent, grandparent, legal guardian, or, if the applicant is a participant in a federal residential job training program, a driving instructor employed by a federal residential job training program, sign the application stating that the applicant has completed at least forty hours of supervised driving experience under a temporary instruction permit issued pursuant to subsection 1 of section 302.130, or, if the applicant is an emancipated minor, the person over twenty-one years of age who supervised such driving. (3) Have had a temporary instruction permit issued pursuant to subsection 1 of section 302.130 for at least a six-month period or a valid license from another state and ![]() (2) Pay the fee required by subsection 4 of this section Vehicle: any mechanical device on wheels, designed primarily for use, or used on highways, except motorized bicycles, electric bicycles, vehicles propelled or drawn by horses or human power, or vehicles used exclusively on fixed rails or tracks, or cotton trailers or motorized wheelchairs operated by handicapped persons.State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories.Record: includes, but is not limited to, papers, documents, facsimile information, microphotographic process, electronically generated or electronically recorded information, digitized images, deposited or filed with the department of revenue.person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations.Motorcycle: a motor vehicle operated on two wheels.Motor vehicle: any self-propelled vehicle not operated exclusively upon tracks except motorized bicycles, as defined in section 307.License: a license issued by a state to a person which authorizes a person to operate a motor vehicle.(2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case.Guardian: if used in a section in a context relating to property rights or obligations, means conservator of the estate as defined in chapter 475.Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.following: when used by way of reference to any section of the statutes, mean the section next preceding or next following that in which the reference is made, unless some other section is expressly designated in the reference.Director: the director of revenue acting directly or through the director's authorized officers and agents. ![]()
